The Management Board of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (CCIS) appointed the new Presidency of the Ljubljana Arbitration Centre at CCIS (LAC) at its regular meeting held on 2 December 2025, for a four-year term of office covering the period 2026–2029.

The Management Board of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (CCIS) appointed the new Presidency of the Ljubljana Arbitration Centre at CCIS (LAC) at its regular meeting held on 2 December 2025, for a four-year term of office covering the period 2026–2029.

Prof. Dr. Vesna Rijavec of the Faculty of Law, University of Maribor, was confirmed as President of the Ljubljana Arbitration Centre. On this occasion, CCIS President Tibor Šimonka stated that “together, we will continue to strengthen the brand and reputation of the Ljubljana Arbitration Centre at CCIS, both in Slovenia and in the international environment.” He also expressed his confidence that, through joint efforts, the Centre’s professional excellence and the trust of parties choosing CCIS to resolve their most complex commercial disputes would continue to grow.

The newly elected Presidency of the Ljubljana Arbitration Centre at CCIS, taking office as of 1 January 2026 for a four-year term, consists of:

  • Prof. Dr. Vesna Rijavec, Faculty of Law, University of Maribor (President of LAC),
  • Petja Plauštajner, Attorney-at-Law, Plauštajner Law Firm (Vice-President of LAC),
  • Vesna Bergant Rakočevič, Senior Judge Counsellor, Higher Court of Ljubljana (Member of the LAC Presidency),
  • Assoc. Prof. Ana Vlahek, Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana (Member of the LAC Presidency),
  • Prof. Dr. Tomaž Keresteš, Faculty of Law, University of Maribor (Member of the LAC Presidency),
  • Nejc Lahne, Managing Director, E.ON Ljubljana, Energy Services Ltd. (Member of the LAC Presidency),
  • Boštjan Špec, Associate Partner, Attorney-at-Law, Šelih & Partners Law Firm Ltd. (Member of the LAC Presidency).
