Find an Arbitrator

Find an Arbitrator

According to the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, the parties may appoint the arbitrators (the Arbitral Tribunal) themselves and authorise them to reach a final decision on the dispute by a final arbitral award.

Appointment of an arbitrator, i.e. an expert most appropriate for the resolution of the particular dispute, is an important act of the parties, which must exercise due diligence in identifying the required arbitrator’s knowledge and qualifications.

The LAC Secretariat has a broad international network of experts from more than 30 different countries, with experience from different legal environments and variety of legal and technical expertise. The Secretariat can assist the parties by identification of suitable persons who shall be appointed as arbitrators.
