The aim of the event is to provide the users of arbitration, among others, practical insight into the legal environment for international commercial arbitration in Slovenia and Kosovo and inner workings of the two arbitral institutions – Ljubljana Arbitration Centre (the LAC) and AmCham Kosovo Arbitration Center. The event is also intended as an opportunity to familiarize the users of arbitration with the current trends and best practices in international arbitration and particularly in the region and to strengthen the economic ties between businesses from the respective countries.
The panel of speakers will include arbitration practitioners from Slovenia and Kosovo, including the LAC’s Chairperson Konrad Plaustajner, PhD and Secretary General Marko Djinovic.
Konrad Plaustajner will speak on the recent developments and best practices in the field of international arbitration in the region, from the longstanding experience of the Ljubljana Arbitration Centre in handling disputes involving parties from the Adriatic region and ex YU. Marko Djinović will address the practical aspects of choosing Slovenia as a seat of arbitration in commercial disputes involving parties from the region.
